Janet M. Keich- McHenry , 84 of Austintown passed away Thursday evening at her home, surrounded by her family. Janet was born July 9, 1934 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Ralph and Jane (McDonald) Dalton and was a lifelong area resident. Janet graduated from South High School in 1952 and worked in the payroll department of General Fireproofing for five years following graduation. After 10 years of marriage, Ed Keich and Janet bought 50 acres of property in West Austintown and developed Jan-Ed Lake Park. They operated the swim club, miniature golf and horse show ring for 12 years. They were also in the food concession business and it was 1972 that they operated their first stand at the Canfield Fair. Janet retired from the business in 1991, the family continues to operate the food concessions. Janet was a member of Western Reserve United Methodist Church and served many years as a trustee of the Western Reserve Village at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Her husband Edward C. Keich, whom she married May 7, 1955, died June 30, 1987. She married her second husband, Edward R. McHenry November 30, 1991 and he died April 28, 1994. She leaves three daughters, Susan Capone of Delray Beach , Florida, Judy (Rusty) Mechling of Canfield, Jenny Davison of Canfield; two sons, William Keich of Austintown, Kenny (Lori) Keich of Canfield and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Dalton of Fort Collins, Colorado and Fran Dalton of New Middletown. Besides her parents and her husbands, Janet was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Dalton, Howard Dalton, John R. Dalton, her twin sister, Joyce Cerimele and two sons-in-law, Dr. John Capone and Dr. Thomas Davison. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of the Valley for the wonderful care given to Janet. In lieu of flowers, the family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Western Reserve Village at Canfield Farigrounds, P.O. Box 250, Canfield 44406.
