Janette O. Ruse

Youngstown-There will be Services at 11 a.m. Friday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church for Janette O. Ruse, 88, who passed away Monday afternoon at Omni Manor West. Janette was born March 29, 1930 in Youngstown, the daughter of Robert W. and Helen O. Davis Herman. She was a 1948 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and was a self-employed Beautician. Janette was a member of the church, Miriam Chapter No. 278 Order of Eastern Star, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Austintown Aerie No. 3298 Womens Auxiliary and the F.O.P. Womens Auxiliary. Janette was a Den Mother and very involved in many aspects of scouting with her husband Don. She enjoyed Crocheting, Needle Point and Sewing and was a die-hard Cleveland Browns and Indians Fan. Janettes husband, Donald L. Ruse, whom she married Sept. 16, 1950, died Aug. 1, 2011. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Marcia) Ruse of Canfield and Ken (Debbie) Ruse of Boardman; her daughter-in-law, Pam Ruse of Boardman; 16 grandchildren and 6 gr. grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Janette was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Ruse and her brothers, Robert and Wayne Herman. The family would like to thank the staff of Omni Manor West for their compassionate care and concern for Janette. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel and 10-11 a.m. Friday, prior to the Service at the church.
