Jean A. Cameron

CORTLAND- Jean A. Cameron, age 86, passed away Monday evening, July 23, 2018 at her residence. Jean was born January 8, 1932 in Girard to the late Harry and Elsie (Justis) Killin. She was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School. She was a member of Cortland Christian Church. Jean will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was a hard worker and role model for her family. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling with her husband Charles. Besides her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband Charles Cameron, Sr., whom she married August 16, 1952; her siblings, Harry, David, Eugene, Robert, Raymond, Eleanor, and Mary. Jean is survived by her daughters Denise (Christopher) Ratini and Debbie Cameron; her son Charles (Kim Stewart) Cameron, Jr., five grandchildren Jeremy Strobl, Kelle (Steve) Tomes, Chad Strobl, Michelle (Brent) Scamehorn, Shannon (Jeff) Birdwell, and great-granddaughter Zoe Grace Birdwell. Friends may call 2-5PM Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Lane Funeral Home, Shaffer-Winans Chapel 164 N. High St. in Cortland. The funeral service will be 11AM Monday at the funeral home.
