Jean "Susie" Phillips

Jean "Susie" Phillips, 73, passed away at Trumbull Memorial Hospital surround by her family on June 18, 2018. She was born on August 10, 1944 in Pueblo, Colorado to John & Jean (Pyne) Pappas, Sr. On July 3, 1970, Susie was united in marriage to Edmond Phillips who preceded her in death on June 2, 2005. After retiring from Packard Electric, Susie worked for Hills Department Store and Sears as well. She was a woman of faith and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cortland. Susie enjoyed quilting, sewing and camping. Most importantly, Susie loved her time spent with her grandsons. Her family will receive friends on Friday June 22, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Robert-Clark Chapel, Warren where a memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. Susie is survived by her daughter Melissa Drennen, grandsons John (Kristen Cummins) Drennen of West Farmington and Zachary Hofstetter; her great-granddaughter Isla Joy; her brothers John Pappas, Jr. of Fowler, Lee N. (Joan) Pappas of Mecca and her cousin Ernest Pappas of Largo, FL as well as many other relatives. Besides her husband, Susie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Thomas Pappas and sister Patricia Meeker.
