Jeannette L. Schaade

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, February 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel for Jeannette L. (Heid) Schaade, 75 of Sunrise of Poland who died Sunday evening of natural causes. Jeannette was born June 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Frederick H. and Florence M. (Hoffman) Heid. She graduated from Springfield High School and received her Registered Nurse degree from Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing. Jeannette had worked as a pediatric nurse at St. Elizabeths Health Center and later for various nursing homes in the area. Her husband, John H. Schaade whom she married November 7, 1964, died June 19, 2005. She leaves a daughter, Gretchen (Bill) Ryan of St. Clairsville, Ohio; two sons, Jeffery B. (Pam) Schaade of North Augusta, South Carolina, J. Eric (Becky) Schaade of Lancaster, Ohio; a brother, Fred (Emma) Heid of Davie, Florida; two sisters, Jennie (Joe) DeSantis of Boardman and Florence (James) Allen of Estero, Florida. Jeannette also leaves six grandchildren; Katie Schaade, Josh Staraitis, Josie Staraitis, Caroline Schaade, Brian Schaade and John Owen Schaade. Jeannette was a great cook and passionate about family get-togethers and celebrating all things family. She adored her grandchildren and maximized the time should could spend with them. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, and puzzles of all kinds. Her gift was providing unconditional love for her friends and family. Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. on Saturday until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley. The family wishes to thank all those who helped care for their Mother and specifically Hospice of the Valley who provided exceptional care for her last few weeks.
