Jeffery L. Kish, Jr.

Jeffery L. Kish Jr., 38, passed away Wednesday, Thursday July 19, 2017 at his home. Jeff was born on August 2, 1978 in Warren, OH, a son of Jeffrey L. Kish Sr. and Linda (Luster) Arnal. He was a 1996 Mathews High School graduate and attended Kent State University. He was employed with the Fowler Township Road Department. He was a huge sports fanatic and loved to watch the Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavs , and the OHIO STATE BUCKEYES. He was a Mathews youth baseball coach and was the 2016 Mathews Broncos Trumbull County Pee Champions Coach. He enjoyed mentoring children in sports. He loved to not only teach them the game, but to learn to love the game, and have fun. Jeff was also a big family man. He loved to spend time with his wife and children. He loved having cookouts with the family and was known as the Grill Master. He was selfless and rarely put himself first, his family was his priority. Jeff will be deeply missed by his mother, Linda (Pat) Arnal of Fowler, OH; his father Jeffrey Kish Sr.; his loving wife, Megan (Leahy) Kish, whom he married on August 13, 2005; his four children, Colton, Carlyn, and Kenley Kish all of Vienna, OH, his step-daughter Paige (Will) Stanley of East Palestine, OH; his step-sister Amy (Steve) Sponsler of Vienna, OH, his step-brother Michael Arnal of Fowler, OH; his maternal grandmother Dona Luster; his mother and father in law Mark and Penelope McClintock; and his sister in law Jessica (Dion) Matthews. He was preceded in death by his brother in law Zachary Leahy. Funeral services for Jeff will be held on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at 11:00AM at Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer Winans Chapel located at 164 North High Street in Cortland. Friends and family call visit from 5-8:00PM on Monday July 24, 2017 at the funeral home. We would ask anyone who has been a part of Jeff's team please wear your jersey in honor of him. Burial will take place at Dugan Cemetery in Fowler Township at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be donated to Mathews Youth Baseball League in his memory.
