Jeffrey Starr, 60 of Youngstown died Sunday evening at Northside Medical Center, Youngstown. Jeffrey was born April 3, 1957 in Youngstown, a son of the late Chester W. and Virginia A. (Perish) Starr and graduated from Chaney High School in 1975. He later received his associate degree in applied science from Northampton Community College. Jeffrey served in the U. S. Coast Guard, where he had served for 20 years. He then worked in office administration for the government and the private sector including the U.S. Department of Veterans where he was a medical support specialist. Jeffrey was an Eagle Scout and had also served as a scoutmaster. He enjoyed fishing, boating and sailing, but most important was the time he spent with his children. He leaves his wife, Leslie T. Gould; his son Joshua Jeffrey (Taundra) Starr of Easton, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Audrey (Dick) Rhinehart; Gerry (Ron) Banks; and one brother, Larry Starr all of North Jackson. Jeffrey also leaves two granddaughters, Leilah and Autumn. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Cody Lee Starr, Nathan P. Starr and a brother, Chester W. Starr. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
