Jenith Carroll

Mecca – Jenith Carroll, 87, passed away Thursday evening, November 21, 2024 at her residence with her daughter by her side. 

Jenith was born on August 21, 1937 in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Helen Bruss. 

In 1968 she married the love of her life Edward Carroll and started their family together. She enjoyed playing Bingo, camping and traveling to Tennessee with her husband. 

Jenith will be deeply missed by her daughter, Carol Reed, whom she made her home with; grandson, Richie Reed; and great-grandchildren, Nathan and Paxton Reed. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gilbert “Pete” Bruss, Melvin Bruss, and George Bruss; sisters, Agnes Caldwell and Peggy Kuch; and two infant brothers. 

Family and friends may visit from 11-12:00PM on Friday November 29, 2024 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer Winans Chapel located at 164 N. High St. in Cortland with funeral services to follow at 12:00PM. 

Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Bazetta Township.
