Jennie B. Wike

BOARDMAN---Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Mrs. Jennie B. Wike, 91, who died Monday evening at Shepherd of the Valley, Boardman. Jennie was born May 24, 1911 in Flemington, PA, the daughter of John P, and Maude (Renner) Stiver and came to this area as a child. She had been employed as a Telephone Operator for the Strouss Dept. Store 30 years retiring in 1984. Jennie was a member of John Knox United Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Paul F. Wike, whom she married June 12, 1937 died May 23, 1954. She is survived by a daughter; Wendy R. Butterworth of Boardman and three grandchildren, Kim Thompson, Debra Green and Brittany Butterworth and five great-grandchildren. A son, Fred Wike and three brothers and four sisters are deceased. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Thursday and one hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
