Jerry L. Reichert

Jerry L. Reichert, 71, passed away at his home on September 25, 2018. Jerry was born on August 24, 1947 in San Pedro, California the son of Rudolph & Florence (Welsh) Reichert. Jerry proudly served in the US Navy with 2 tours in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, Jerry focused on his career and earned his nursing degree. He worked as a nurse for Autumn Hills Care Center until his retirement in 2012. On January 29, 1982, Jerry was united in marriage to the former Judith Siekkinen who survives. Jerry was a quiet man who enjoyed reading and cheering on his favorite football time from his home state of California, the LA Rams. Jerry enjoyed traveling and learning the history of the places he visited. Jerry loved spending time with his family. He and Judy delighted in watching their great-niece & great-nephew Jenna & Luke Passek grow up. They were more of an extra set of grandparents than great-aunt and great-uncle. Most importantly, Jerry was a devoted and loving husband. Jerry is survived by his wife of 36 years, Judy; his brother James & Jan Reichert of Irvine, CA; his sister-in-law Linda & Rich Bradshaw of Middlefield, OH; 4 nieces, 2 nephews, 7 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life for Jerry will be held.
