Jessie Jean Kiger

Funeral services celebrating the life of Jessie Jean Kiger, 80, will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel. Jean passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at her home. She was born July 12, 1938 in Wind Ridge, PA., the daughter of Jacob O. and Grace (Tilton) Tennant. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Jean was a member of Mineral Ridge Church of Christ and was very active in the church. She was involved with the Socks for Grundy Mission, the bereavement dinners, and the Women Working for Christ. Jean enjoyed her monthly ladies luncheons with her church friends. Her hobbies included being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, reading, crocheting, and puzzles. Her husband Charles D. Kiger, whom she married September 15, 1957, passed away July 27, 1991. Jean leaves four children, Linda (William) OBrien of Austintown, Kathy Kiger and Daniel (Evelyn) Kiger both of Mineral Ridge, and David (Wendy) Kiger of Cleveland, six grandchildren, Melanie (Korey) Paff, Patrick OBrien, Abriele (Andrew) Zizzo, Zachary (Michele) Kiger, Elizabeth Kiger, and Nathaniel Kiger, as well as four sister-in-laws, two cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Jean was preceded in death by an infant brother, four brother-in-laws, and three nephews. Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM Friday and again from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel where services will begin at 11 AM on Saturday.
