Joan M. Habeger, 84, of Austintown, passed away on January 24, 2019 with her family by her side at the Hospice House in Poland. Joan was born on November 22, 1934 in Youngstown, the daughter of Chester and Jennie (Nelson) Doepping. Joan loved to sew, read, and work on puzzles. Prior to becoming ill, she was very active in the church and remained a member of Highway Tabernacle. Joan retired as Bookkeeper from Canfield Tire Service. Joan is survived by her daughters Millie Vodhanel of Austintown and Lori Moorhead of Hartville; her sister Naomi Schuller of Texas; her sister-in-law Barb Doepping; her grandchildren Joshua Moorhead of California, Daniel (Melissa) Vodhanel of Champion, Stacey (Shane) Frohnapfel of Cuyahoga Falls, and great grandchildren Connor and Logan Vodhanel. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Donald Habeger, whom she married February 18, 1967 and died October 22, 2002 , her first husband Frederick, whom she married March 23, 1957 and died October 27, 1962, her son Brad Habeger, and her siblings Jack Doepping, Donald Doepping, and Nancy Valiquette . A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Highway Tabernacle Fellowship Hall.
