Joanne "Judy" Masters, 79 of Champion passed away peacefully Saturday evening at her residence, surrounded by her family. Joanne, known as Judy was born February 5, 1938 in Warren, a daughter of the late Paul J. and Agnes J. (Reed) Ketterer and was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Williams Parish. Judy was also a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #642 and the Coachmen Street Rods. She enjoyed going to car shows and gambling at casinos. Judy also loved to dance and at one time, she and her husband would go dancing every Saturday night. She leaves her husband of 58 years, James L. Masters, whom she married March 22, 1959; a daughter. Pamela Hoffman and her husband Bruce of Champion; two grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Hoffman, Amanda (Adam) Lawn; four great-grandchildren, Leanna Overly, Nathan Hoffman, Kiera Hoffman and Ella Lawn. Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamera Masters. Per Judy's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512.
