John A. Pientka

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. for John “Abe” Pientka, Jr. of Youngstown who passed away on Sunday at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. Abe was born May 21, 1917 in Bethlehem, Pa the son of John and Christina (Asikiewicz) Pientka Sr. He was a retired truck driver for Stony’s Trucking and then Youngstown Cartage. Abe was also an Army Veteran and a member of V.F.W. Post #3307 and American Legion # 888. Besides his second wife, the former Cleota Grimm whom he married August 15, 1970 Abe leaves a daughter Cheryl Ann Jamison of Youngstown, and his god-son Tom Citizen. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marie in 1964, and a sister Helen Grombacher. Friends and family may call from 5-8 on Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel
