John Begansky, 75 of Warren, passed away Sunday (04-06-2008) at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Mr. Begansky was born in Richeyville, PA on December 02, 1932, the son of John and Anna (Krammer) Beganski Sr.. John was a graduate of Bentlyville High School Class of 1952 where he excelled in football and basketball. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and coaching his sons for the Burbank Baseball League. He was an active member of Christ Our King Church in Warren where he had been an usher and served with the bingo committee. John was a proud fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, Penn State, Notre Dame and Duke Basketball team. Since his retirement from GM Lordstown where he worked for 32 years in the materials department, John greatly enjoyed yardwork and keeping his house neat. He also enjoyed spending time with his Dauschaunds "Gumpy" and "Lundo". Mr. Begansky is survived by his wife of 44 years the former Virginia Berish whom he married August 31st, 1963; two sons Joseph and his fiance Doris of Clayton, DE, Matthew of Willoughby, OH; four sisters Frances Bandi of Pittsburgh, PA, Helen Diulus and her husband Guy also of Pittsburgh, PA, Vern Gormley and her husband Paul of Zelienople, PA, and Mary Jane Sicchitano and her husband Marvin of Bentlyville, PA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother Benjamin and infant sister Margaret. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Christ Our King Catholic Church in Warren. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
