John Deno Chechitelli Sr. - 79 McDonald—Services will be 10 am Saturday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for John Deno Chechitelli Sr., 79 of McDonald who passed away Wednesday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. John was born July 6, 1925 in Dartmore, W. Va. the son of Frank and Vernie (Cimerelli) Chechitelli. He retired in 1983 after more than 30 years of service, as a foreman in the Open-hearth of the Ohio works for U.S. Steel Corp. John was a member of First Baptist Church of McDonald. He was an avid sports fan of all sports, enjoyed bowling and playing cards with his friends at the Sam Camens Center. John loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He leaves his wife the former Amanda Hinchman whom he married July 12, 1946, one son John D. Jr. (Linda) of Austintown, three grandchildren: Jennifer, Jamie and John Matthew, great granddaughter Lexi of Austintown, and one sister Eleanor Avona of Girard. One brother Orlando Chechitelli and one sister Enis Canale preceded John in death. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Friday at the funeral home.
