John E. Engelhardt

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for John Engelhardt of 4756 Lockwood Blvd., Boardman who died suddenly on Friday at his residence. He was born February 14, 1940 in Youngstown the son of the late Fred and Margaret Gregory Engelhardt. He was cared for and lovingly raised by Mary and Caleb Jones and their two daughters Marian and Margaret Jones of McDonald. He was a fitter for Sprinkler Fitters Local #669 for 40 years, retiring in April 2002. He was also a former member of the United States Marine Corp Reserve. He leaves his wife, Sylvia Sheller, whom he married July 1, 1967, a son John E. II of Perth Australia, a daughter Franlia Engelhardt of Youngstown, two sisters Dorothy Knight of Liberty Tpw. and Eleanor Engelhardt of Viena, two brothers William of Vienna and Thomas of California. He also leaves one very adored granddaughter Aurelia Turner. He was preceded in death by one brother Richard. He was a loving husband and father, devoted to his entire family. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
