There will be a memorial service 6 PM Friday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Austintown for John H. Davidson, Jr. who passed away Sunday evening at Briarfield at Ashley Circle. John was born January 31, 1924 in Chicago, IL a son of the late John H. and Ruth (Johnson) Davidson Sr. John was an attorney and partner of Davidson and Smith, retiring in 1997. He also taught Business Law at YSU for many years. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, and of the Saxon Club. He was past President of the Austintown Optimist Club, and was a pronouncer at the Youngstown Vindicator Spelling Bee in the 1960's. A United States Army Veteran, John served in WWII, and was also an amateur boxer in the Army as well as the Golden Gloves. He enjoyed golf and bridge in his spare time. John is survived by his wife the former Regina "Jean" Nemenz, who he married July 9, 1955; three children: Amy (Jim Constas) Davidson of Canfield, John H. Davidson III of Lake Milton and Jody (Hank) Evans of Kentucky; two brothers: Dr. James K. Davidson of Youngstown and Dr. Edward C. Davidson of Mansfield; three grandchildren: David Constas, Christy Evans and Kim Evans; Besides his parents, John is preceded in death by a granddaughter Jennifer Evans. Memorial contributions may be made to Silver Lining Cancer Fund, PO Box 401, Canfield, OH 44406 in John's name. Friends may call from 4 PM until 6 PM Friday at the church prior to the service
