JOHN J. MALOVICH YOUNGSTOWN- Private services were held 1:30 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for John J. Malovich age 78 of 150 N. Richview Ave., who died Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. John was born Feb. 29, 1924 in Ganister, Pa. and was the son of Frank and Grace (Brokup) Malovich. He had been a welder at L.T.V. and then had worked at R.M.I. in Niles as a welder retiring in 1993. He was a member St. Brendan’s Church, V.F.W. Post #888, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII serving on the USS Boston, loved woodworking and home restoration. John is survived by his wife Flora (Ortz) Malovich whom he married Nov. 26, 1949, on son Frank C. and his wife Kathryn Malovich of Las Vegas, NV, a sister Helen Malovich of Washington, D.C., and 1 grandson, Anthony Malovich, a nephew John Hontula of Girard and other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son John Malovich, a sister Irene Hontula and 3 brothers, Joseph, Robert and Frank Malovich. Family requests that material contributions be made to the Easter Seals Society. There were no calling hours.
