John M. Eichert

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14th at the Highland Memorial Park in Alliance for John M. Eichert age 59 of 16604 Heiser Rd. in Berlin Center who passed away on Tuesday, Sept. the 11th at his home. Mr. Eichert was born August 14th, 1942 the son of John and Virginia (Dehner) Eichert in Cincinnatti Ohio . John was a tool and die maker at The General Motors Lordstown Plant and a member of U.A.W. # 1714. He was also a loan officer at Cavalier Federal Credit Union and past president of the P.T.O at the Western Reserve School District. John was also very active in the Canfield Cardinals Football Club as well as the Saginaw Valley State University Football Club. He is survived by his wife Joann whom he married June 3, 2001 and five children; Gina M. Powell of Canfield, Kim Zitricki of Reynoldsburg, OH, Marc M. Eichert of Hubbard, Erik J. Eichert of Canfield, and Brian J. Eichert of Saginaw, MI. Also surviving is the children’s mother, Nancy Flanagan of Canfield as well as 2 step-daughters; Michelle R. Griffiths of Austintown, and Denise E. Herrick of Eastlake, Ohio. Two sisters and a brother are also surviving; Christine MacAfee, Kathy Kaylor, and David Eichert all of Cincinnatti, Ohio. Twelve grandchildren are also surviving. He was preceded in death by his father, his sister Rosemary Wilson, his son John Louis Eichert and his grand-daughter Heather M. Morrison-Eichert.
