A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, August 9, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for John M. Weber, who passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 3, 2017. John was born October 5, 1926 in Youngstown the son of Steve and Elizabeth (Rick) Weber. He attended South High School and was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. John retired from Roth Brothers Roofing after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. He enjoyed life, loved to travel with his wife and family in his mobile homes, boating, water skiing, gardening, and playing chess. Most of all, John had a passion for cars. He built and restored several classics and hot rods for his personal collection. He loved spending time in his garage working on cars and helping others with their own projects. His wife of 55 years, the former Frances Patricia Ducaster, whom he married October 30, 1954, passed away on December 30, 2009. John leaves three grandchildren, Tammy ( Michael Corrigan)McMillen of Fountain Hills, AZ, Kismith McMillen of Austintown, and Steve (Kelly Hayes) Mendzala of Boardman. John also leaves two nephews, Marty and Rich Ebert. Besides his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Mendzala, three brothers, George, Steve, and Frank, and one sister, Marie Ebert. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where closing prayers will be held on Wednesday, August 9, at 9:30 AM.
