Youngstown-John Mills age 73 died Thursday at Northside Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born November 28, 1929 in Youngstown a son of John Millovich and Mary (Zivkovich). Mr. Mills worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for 33 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1949 where he was an All-City Football player in 1947 and was inducted into the Woodrow Wilson Football Hall of Fame. He was an avid golfer and loved to garden (hated Squirrels), Japanese art, Seinfeld, Zen and Jazz. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Deborah Carol Lund (Oscar) of Canfield, Laura Beth McGill of New York City, a son Kim Jonathan Mills of Manhattan, and three grand daughters; Tara Michelle Rogers of Columbus OH. and Olivia Genevieve and Molly Fiona McGill both from New York, in addition to a sister Darlene Kaminsky of Austintown. He was preceeded in death by his parents and his grandparents Marko (Zarvar) and Angela Millovich of Serbia and a son Daniel Frank Mills.
