There will be a Masonic Service at 11 a.m. Monday, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Home-Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman for John P. Klein, 71, who passed away early Tuesday evening at Vista Care Center of Boardman. John was born Jan. 28, 1946 in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Helen Sander Klein. He was employed by U.S. Steel Corp. for 20 years, retiring in 1981. John was a 1964 graduate of East High School and attended Y.S.U. He was a member and Past Master of both the former Salem City Lodge No. 698 F & A.M. and currently New Lisbon Lodge No. 65 F & A.M. John was also a member of Salem Chapter No. 94 R.A.M., Omega Council No. 44, Salem Commandry No. 42, Ohio Priori No. 18 K.Y.C.H. (1998), A.A.S.R.- Valley of Youngstown, Salem Chapter No. 334 O.E.S., Iva Chapter No. 311 O.E.S. of Lisbon, Past Royal Patron of Faith Court No. 43 O. of A., Past Watchman of Shepherds of Ruth Shrine of Jeruselum, Aut Mori Grotto and the M.V.O.C.C. John and his wife, Brenda enjoyed traveling to various casinos. He loved to cook, especially spaghetti and meatball dinners for numerous Masonic fund raisers . John also enjoyed working on the masonic parade floats for the Salem Jubilee. John is survived by his wife of 32 years, the former Brenda K. Pelley, whom he married Oct. 12, 1985; his sister, Matilda (Daniel) Woodward of Struthers; his brothers, Joseph (Lois) Klein of Poland and Michael (Bonnie) of Mineral Ridge, many nieces and nephews and his best friend, Jack Cochran. Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Michael Klein, his sister, Mary Kathryn Klein and his brothers, Rudolph and Robert Klein. Friends may call from 9:30-11 a.m. Monday, prior to the Service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc. , Robert W.
