John Raymond Phillips, 89 Funeral services will be Saturday at noon at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for John Raymond Phillips, 89 of Boardman, formerly of Ellsworth who died Monday evening at Park Center Health and Rehabilitation Center, Boardman. John was born March 17, 1930 in Ford City, PA, a son of the late Eugene C. and Elizabeth R. (Westwood) Phillips. John had worked at U.S. Steel for 29 years, retiring in 1980. He leaves five nieces and five nephews including Mark (Michele) Seger of Austintown, whom he raised. Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Jean Seger; three brothers, Donald Phillips, Jim Phillips and Joseph Phillips. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the service at noon at the funeral home.
