John W. Yeager

Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for John W. Yeager of Berlin Center who died Sunday morning at North Side Hospital. He was born July 7, 1911 in Newton township Trumbull County the son of the late Sherman H .Yeager and Martha Ann (Danforth) Yeager and lived in the area all his life. John worked at Republic Steel in Warren for 39 years retiring in 1976 as a welder. He was a 83 year member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Berlin Center where he was Sunday school superintendent for 45 years. John loved to garden and graduated from North Jackson High School. He leaves 2 sons Carl S. Yeager of Newton Falls and Daniel L. Yeager of Berlin Center and one daughter Darthella Sallaz of North Jackson, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. John was preceeded in death by his wife Naomi (Hawkins) whom he married June 1, 1933 died Aug. 3, 1991, one son John Mahlon Yeager and 5 brothers Art, Dwight, Vern, Harold and Forest Yeager.
