Jon J. Thompson

Jon J. Thompson, 74, passed away Wednesday evening, February 14, 2024 at St. Joseph Medical Center. 

Jon was born on May 22, 1949 in Detroit, MI, a son of the late Robert and Julia Thompson. 

He was a graduate of Hickory High School and went to Cheena’s Beauty School. 

He opened his own hair salon in Niles called Just Jon Salon. He was president of the Trumbull County Kennel Club for many years and was a dog show judge. He also was a chief decorator at Max Ann’s Bakery. 

Jon will be deeply missed by his siblings, Kathleen Johnson, Jan Denno, and Matthew Thompson; and a grandson that he adored Michael Sovacool. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers James E. Thompson and Robert B. Thompson. 

Per Jon’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services and arrangements were entrusted with Lane Family Funeral Homes – Roberts Clark Chapel in Warren.
