Joseph Andrew Fornadel Jr.

Joseph Andrew Fornadel Jr., 86, passed away Wednesday morning, January 10, 2018 at Crofton Care Center in Crofton, MD. He was a life-long resident of Masury, OH and before moving to Maryland, he resided at Juniper Village in Sharon for five years. Joseph was born on October 11, 1931 in Masury,OH, the son of the late Joseph Andrew Fornadel Sr. and Anna Fornadel. Joe worked at Westinghouse and drove tour bus where he was a favorite among the groups. He was a member of St. Patricks Church in Hubbard and a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He was a true social butterfly, who never met a stranger. He took delight in being called "GrandPa Joe" by not only family but by many people. Joseph will be deeply missed by his children, David (Martha) Fornadel, Mary Jo (Mark) Domen, Arlene (Charles) OMalley, Joseph (Donna) Fornadel, James (Karen) Fornadel; eleven grandchildren, Lenora, Todd, John, Laura, Christopher, Connor, Jeannette, Michael, Marissa, Michael, Mollie; six great-grandchildren; Cassandra, Dean, Marianne, Samuel, Nicholas, and Joseph ; his brother, Eugene Fornadel; and a dear friend, Mary White. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Anne, (October 1996) whom he married on April 28, 1951; his brother, Edward Fornadel; and his sister, Josephine Kocis. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday December 16, 2018 at 10:00AM at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Hubbard, OH. Burial will take place at St. James Catholic Cemetery in New Bedford, PA.
