Joseph J. Hudak

There are no services or calling hours for Joseph J. Hudak of Canfield who passed away Wednesday morning at home. Mr. Hudak was born February 11, 1916 in Czechoslovakia the son of John and Katherine (Kacir) Hudak and came to the area in 1925. A graduate of South High School, Joe was an aircraft mechanic who tested and delivered airplanes and was a field service rep. for Consolidated Inc in India and China. He retired from U. S. Steel in Youngstown as a stationary engineer in 1978. Joe played viola in the Youngstown Symphony from 1937 to 1971. He also handcrafted violins for many years. Mr. Hudak leaves a sister Margaret E. Deemer of Boardman, and a brother Rudolph P. Hudak of Youngstown. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased in death by his first wife Annabelle (Johnson) whom he married in 1949 and passed away in 1971. His second wife Dorothy (Briggs) whom he married in 1976 passed away in 2000. A brother John Hudak passed away in 1981.
