Joseph J Smith Jr.

Joseph J. Smith Jr., 82, of Mineral Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Born September 20, 1935 in Mineral Ridge, he was the son of Joseph J. and Mary Ellen (Hammel) Smith Sr. He grew up in Mineral Ridge and graduated from Mineral Ridge High School in 1954. He worked as a steel worker for Copperweld Steel until his retirement. He loved fishing, hunting and watching his nieces and nephews play ball at Seaborn Elementary Fields. Survivors include his siblings: Thomas (Maryann) Smith, Mary Hake Miller, Douglas (Marge) Smith, and George (Donna) Smith; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
