Josephine Long

Josephine Long, 92, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 5, 1926 in Cassity, West Virginia to the late Robert & Carrie Fox. Family and friends meant the most to her. When you came to visit, she always made time to share a cup of coffee and conversation that would last a life time. She was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took great pride in her home, family and being a stay at home mother. Josephine "Granny" is survived by her children Linda Kay Conrad-Johnson of Warren, Karen (Rev. Raymond) Gill of Navarre, Jean (Mike) Hess of Warren, and Robert (Ruth) Long of Warren. Grandchildren Nelson (Julie) Conrad, Julie (Steve) White, Eric (Liz) Gill, Jennifer (Adam) Riggle, Brad Jones, Nicole Conrad, April Long and Aubrey Long. Great-grandchildren Aleah, Zackery, Alexis, Kameron, Taylor, Hunter, Logan, Wyatt, Joey, Hailey, LaRyan, Amyah, Bennett, Morgan & Andrew; her sister Marie Leigh of Warren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Robert Long; her grandson Brent Kirk; her siblings Alfred Fox, Harry Fox, Hugh Fox, Russell Fox, Margie McCrobie Conrad, Roxie Robinson and Nellie Reilly. We want to extend a very special Thank You to Dr. Sanjay Sheth, his staff and the nurses and staff at St. Josephs Hospital for your love, compassion and kindness. Friends and family will be received on Friday February 15, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, Warren, where a funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday February 16th with Rev. Raymond Gill officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
