Judith Ann "Judy" Lawrence, 73 of Brookfield, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, July 3, 2018, at her home. She was born January 21, 1945 in McClellandtown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late James C. and Helen Catherine Lilley Salsgiver. She was a Warren resident most of her life, moving to Brookfield in 1996. Judy was a 1963 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and received her bachelors in elementary education from Kent State University four years later. She worked for many years as a substitute elementary teacher; but retired in 2014 from Walmart, where she worked for 19 years. Judy was a member of Second Christian Church for many years, until its' closing. She enjoyed playing Bingo, collecting Teddy bears and doing a variety of crafts. She was an avid Ohio State, Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She loved her faithful pitbull, Buddy and her cat, Kitty. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Elmer L. Lawrence, whom she married July 15, 1967; one daughter, Kim L. (Troy) Hutchings of Howland; four sons, Dale R. Lawrence and Brian P. (Julie) Lawrence both of Warren, Bruce A. (Stephanie) Lawrence of Champion and Joe E. (Brie) Lawrence of Charleston, SC; twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter, Madelyn. A memorial gathering and service will be scheduled by the family at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
