Judith Lee Chapman

Judith Lee Chapman, 76, of Niles, passed away peacefully, November 7, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born December 28, 1935, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Hazel (Garrard) Philips. Judith enjoyed taking bus trips with her high school classmates, going to the casinos, flea markets, craft shows and shopping. She especially loved watching her grandchildren play sports. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 54 years, Kenneth Chapman, whom she married March 9, 1957, a son; Jack Chapman, of McDonald, two daughters; Kathy Chapman, of Niles, and Karen (Frank) Cretella, of Girard, a brother; Jack (Barbara) Philips, of CA, a sister; Sandy (Bob) Fuzy, of Austintown, a brother-in-law; Edward Gayan, of Youngstown; two grandchildren; Frankie and Katie and two great-grandchildren; Dominick and Anthony and a close friend of over 55 years; Shirley Beckwith. Judith was preceded in death by a sister Donna Gayan and her parents. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 4:00PM, at Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St. Girard, OH 44420. Friends will be received from 3:00PM until the time of the service.
