Karen H. Blazek

Warren - Karen H. Blazek, 71, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 6, 2024 in the comfort of her home. She fought a long and courageous battle with dementia.

Karen was born on May 25, 1952 in Warren, Ohio a daughter of the late Samuel and Lydia Hillyard.

She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and continued her education at Youngstown State University receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish.

After graduation she began her career at Packard Electric/ General Motors. She worked there for 30 years before beginning her retirement. Besides her career, Karen was the “Avon Lady”. She sold Avon for most of her adult life, loving every minute of it. She enjoyed the many friends and friendships she made over the years.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 49 years, Stephen A. Blazek of Warren, whom she married on June 22, 1974; son, Jeffrey and partner Mike Brunstedt of Cleveland, son Joseph and Melissa Rambert of Independence; daughter Jessica Richter and Ted of Medina; three grandchildren, Lydia Richter of Medina, and Samuel and Cara Blazek of Independence; and brother, Kevin Hillyard of Cortland.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Tessa Marie Blazek.

Family and friends may visit from 10-12:00PM on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Roberts-Clark Chapel, located at 180 Garfield Dr. in Warren. Funeral services will follow at 12:00PM.

Burial will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna Township.
