Kari Sue Louis

Cortland – It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kari Sue Louis, 31, on Sunday January 5, 2025. 

Kari was born on August 29, 1993 in Franklin, PA, daughter of James Nelson and Crystal Buckley. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. 

She was a 2011 graduate of Howland High School and was employed at Ryder Trucking at Altium Cell in logistics. 

She leaves behind her husband, Jason; daughter, Peyton Louis; son, Bryson Nelson; mother Crystal Buckley of Warren, OH; father, James Nelson of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Dave Nelson and Matt Nelson;, sister Tia (Jesse) Ohler; and nieces and nephews, Zoey, Aiden, Chance, Ryker, Legend, and Amara.

Family and friends may visit from 2-4:00PM on Saturday January 11, 2024 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer-Winans Chapel, located at 164 N. High St. in Cortland. 

A private burial will be held at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
