Kathryn A. Medicus

Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Monday at Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church for Kathryn Medicus age 89 of 6141 Lambert Rd. Orient, OH formerly of Youngstown who died Thursday eve. at Columbus West Park in Columbus, OH. Kathryn was born Sept. 16, 1913 in Youngstown and was the daughter of Michael and Margaret (Rarick) Sittinger. She had formerly been a chemical analyst for U.S. Steel in Youngstown. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Columbus and was formerly a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church in Youngstown. Her husband Robert O. Medicus whom she married Aug. 30, 1950 died in 1993. She is survived by a daughter Jane Denton of Orient, OH, a son Craig Medicus of Austintown, a sister Naomi Thompson of Austintown, a brother Frank Rarick of Radford, VA and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Helen Sittinger and two brothers Frank and Wendell Sittinger. Friends may call from 1-3 PM Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home- Austintown Chapel.
