Kazmer Prozy

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, September 23, at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Kazmer Prozy, 89, of Lake Milton, who went to heaven on Thursday afternoon, September 14th. Kazmer was born October 17, 1927 in Youngstown the son of Kazmer and Katherine (Kasinski) Prozy. He retired from U.S. Steel Ohio Works after more than 30 years of service as a Scale Repairman. He was a former member of Highway Tabernacle Church, where he served on the board for many years. More recently he attended Lake Milton Baptist Temple. He loved golfing, over the years of golf Kazmer had at least 5 hole-in-ones. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed wood working and cabinet making. Kazmer loved helping anyone who needed a hand. His wife the former Margaret Johnson, whom he married August 21, 1951, passed away December 27, 2015. He leaves three children, Linda (Michael) Bryant and Judith (William) Herttua both of Lake Milton, and Donald (Bobbie Jean) Prozy of Boardman, four grandsons, Durbin Melek Jr., Don (Lindsay) Prozy Jr., Mike (Melissa) Prozy, and Mitch (Lori) Prozy, as well as 11 great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Kazmer was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Prozy and one sister Katherine Garrison. Friends may call from 10 to 11:30 AM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel where services will be held at 11:30 AM.
