POLAND-There will be Services at 11 a.m. Monday at Old North Church in Canfield for Kenneth L. Goodman, 87, who passed away Friday morning. Ken was born August 10, 1931 in Canton, Oklahoma, a son of David E. and Nina E. Maxwell Goodman. He became a certified public accountant in 1965. He was an accountant with Ernst & Ernst, Hill Barth & King and AFC Corp. in Canfield. He retired in 1993 from Bliss-Salem of Salem and continued to serve as a consultant until 2000. Ken was a graduate of Canton High School in Oklahoma. He then earned a bachelors degree in accounting from The Ohio State University. Ken served his country with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Ken was skilled in leather crafting. He was a member of the church, where he served as an usher and greeter and was a leader of the Golden Heirs. He was also a member of the Ohio CPA Society and volunteered at Operation Blessing in Canfield. Ken is survived by his wife of 64 years, the former Dorothy Jane Franklin, whom he married Aug. 26, 1954; his daughters, Cheri (Theron) Cruickshank of Independence, MO, Donna (Kenny) Moore of Blue Springs, MO and Kathy (Roland) Mohler also of Independence, MO; his grandchildren, Chad, Shantelle, Rachel, Julie, Ben (Alecia), Dottie (Ren`e) and Andy and his gr. grandchildren, Vera, Maren, Kyson and Lincoln. Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Orsa Gordon and his brothers, Maitland Goodman and Rex Foster. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, prior to the Service at the church. Contributions in Kens name may be given to Operation Blessing Food Bank, 140 W. Main St. Canfield, OH 44406. Arrangements are by the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Canfield Chapel.
