Kenneth Vergne Wiswell

Kenneth Vergne Wiswell, age 74, of Cortland passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, March 11, 2024. He was born on February 25, 1950, in Warren to the late Howard and Sara Deane Rist Wiswell. 

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a Lakeview High School class of 1968 graduate, during this time he met his high school sweetheart and wife of 51 years, Deborah. After high school, he furthered his education at Youngstown State University, graduating in 1972. He was the owner and operator of Youngstown Construction Supply for over 20 years. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, going to the beach, giving his grandchildren rides on his golf cart, or putting together a BBQ around his pool. He truly loved his family and enjoyed spending his time surrounded by them. He will be truly missed by those who knew him. 

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Wiswell; daughters and sons-in-law, Missy (Mike) Schmader, Michelle (Erick) Killingsworth, and Mindy (Jon) Garrison; grandchildren, Emma and Mara Schmader, Landon and Grant Killingsworth, Jude, Asher, and Elliot Garrison. 

A private memorial service will be held at Hillside Cemetery. The family is in the care of Lane Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel. Online condolences can be made at www.lanefuenralhomes.com.
