Austintown

Kerri A. Schwab, 43, of Austintown, passed away after a long illness surrounded by family, on Saturday, July 13th, at Regency Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

Born March 13, 1981, in Youngstown, Ohio, Kerri was the daughter of the late John Balog and Brenda (Little) Balog.

Kerri was a 1999 graduate of Jackson Milton and a 2004 graduate of Youngstown State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts, later becoming a photographer. Kerri married the love of her life, Aaron Schwab, on December 11, 2010. Her favorite role was being a mother to their son Hayden; she was very proud of her “little genius.”

Kerri was active in Austintown PTA prior to her illness, and she always enjoyed cheering Hayden on at his baseball games. She loved to read, cook, bake, shop, and, especially, garden with her dad.

She is survived by her mother Brenda, her husband Aaron, and her son Hayden. She also leaves to cherish her memory her sister Kristen (Eric) Stuhlmann, her in-laws Denny and Mary Schwab, and her brothers-in-law Nathan Schwab, Matthew (Samantha) Schwab, Kyle (Stephanie Keith) Schwab, and five nieces and one nephew.

Friends and family may gather to celebrate Kerri, on Friday, July 26th, at the Jackson Township Community Building, 10613 Mahoning Ave, North Jackson, Ohio 44451, from 2-4pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio, Inc, 10415 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
