Kevin P. Chizmar, 54

Kevin P. Chizmar, 54, of Akron died Tuesday, December 31st from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Kevin was born February 7, 1965 in Youngstown, a son of Michael P. and Margaret (Meenachan) Chizmar. He graduated from Ursuline High School in 1983. He had been a route salesman for Tastykake in Youngstown and previously had worked for Hostess and Wonder Bread of Akron for 20 years. Kevin was a gifted artist and loved to sketch and draw. He was a sports fanatic, especially for The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Most precious to Kevin was his large Slovak-Irish family. He was a loving father to his three children and a favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews, Each of those children has a special memory of him. Besides his mother Margaret Chizmar of Canfield, he leaves his wife, the former Mary Lou Gardner whom he married February 12, 1992; two sons, Aaron Chizmar, Brendan Chizmar; a daughter, Shelby Chizmar all of Akron; his siblings, Mary Margaret (Bert) Pharis of St. Augustine, FL, Michael (Kathy) Chizmar of Pickerington, Peter Chizmar of Youngstown, John (Janet) Chizmar of Austintown, Louise (Steven) Easter of Canfield, Anna Marie (Carl) Frease of Youngstown, Deborah Chizmar of Canfield, Leo (JoAnn) Chizmar of Boardman and Martin (Debi) Chizmar of Austintown and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his father.

Private services were held for the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel.
