Kitty J. Lester

Kitty J. Lester, 73 Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield for Kitty J. Lester, 73 of Berlin Center, who died early Tuesday morning at Hospice House of Poland. Kitty was born February 21, 1945 in Wyoming, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Onnie and Thelma (Jones) Johnston and came to this area in 1966 from North Carolina. Kitty was a homemaker and loved spending time with her two daughters and grandchildren. She enjoyed antiquing with her daughters. Her husband, Freddy L. Lester, whom she married July 3, 1964, died June 27, 2002. She leaves her two daughters, Rhonda (Paul) King of Salem, Sharon (Eric) Bodine of Columbiana; three grandchildren, Ashley (Dominic) Armeni, Cameron (Jessica) Bodine and Erin Bodine. Kitty also leaves a brother, Kenneth Johnston of West Virgnia; three sisters, Francis Thomas of West Virginia, Rosemary Andrews of North Carolina and Eva Hamilton of Florida. Besides her parents and her husband, Kitty was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Johnston, Stephen Johnston and a sister, Eleanor Woolum. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Lane Funeral Home.
