Larry Gene James, 63, of Akron, died unexpectedly late Thursday evening, February 20th, at his residence.
He was born October 23, 1961 in Youngstown, the son of Richard James and Marie (Dominic) Toth.
Larry was a 1979 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He also had a playful personality and loved to be a jokester. Larry will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his three siblings; Dale Cole, of Oregon, Antoinette "Toni" (Marc) Rebick, of Medina, and Gerald "Jim" (Sarah) Cole, of Oregon. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Martin and Richard Cole; and his stepfather, John Toth.
Larry's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to his special friend James and his family for the love and compassionate care they gave him for several years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 28th at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 3504 S. Main St, Mineral Ridge, with the Rev. Richard Murphy as celebrant.
Friends may call 9:30 - 10:30 AM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel, 1350 N. Canfield-Niles Rd., Mineral Ridge, prior to the Mass.
Larry will be laid to rest in the Kerr Cemtery, Weathersfield Twp.
