WEATHERSFIELD---Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel, for Mr. Lawrence F. Sigley, 68, of 2862 Farmington St., who died Sunday morning at his residence. Lawrence was born October 7, 1934 in Tunnelton, W. VA, the son of Claudius E. and Exavia Bowlard Sigley and came to this area in 1953. He had been employed as a gauger for the US Steel Corp. 30 years, retiring in 1983. Lawrence was a member of the Galilee Apostolic Church of Austintown and enjoyed working in his garden and was an avid hunter. He is survived by his wife, the former Betty M. Foster, whom he married in May of 1955, one daughter, Donna Bowker of Niles, three sons, Clifford, Kenneth and David Sigley all of McDonald, three sisters, Leota McCauley of Painesville, Ella Jean Jenkins of Hamilton, OH and Kathleen Miller of McDonald and one brother, Claude Sigley of Painesville, 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.. He is preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, Alma Boylard, Dorothy Mae Maxwell, Betty Sigley, Norma Foft and Shirley Milligan, four brothers, James, Clarence, Ralph and Waldo Sigley. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM today and one hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
