Lawrence M. Barnhart

There will be Services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel for Lawrence M. Barnhart, 60, who passed away early Sunday morning at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center. Larry was born July 24, 1957 in Massillon, a son of LaVerne J. and Virginia Voss Barnhart. He was the Assistant Manager of the Portage Sunoco Visitors Center of the Ohio Turnpike. Larry was a 1975 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. He then received his Bachelors Degree in Combined Sciences from Y.S.U. and a Masters Degree in Economics, also from Y.S.U. He attended Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna and was an Eagle Scout. Larry enjoyed Astronomy. His other interest included coin and stamp collecting. Larry is survived by his sisters, Margie P. (Steve) Ware and Judy A. (Bryan) Wilson, both of North Jackson; his brother, Rick L. Barnhart of Boardman; his niece, Taylor Wilson and his nephew, Travis Ware. Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Candi Barnhart. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
