Leah Marie McEaneney

Leah Marie McEaneney, 88, of Austintown, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 11^th, 2024, at Briarfield at Ashley Circle. She was born on January 10^th, 1936, in Sharon, PA to the late Howard Thomas and Jocie (Shelar) Thomas. 

She was a 1953 graduate of West Middlesex High School and went to work as a data entry clerk at Indalex Aluminum and retired in 2000 after 25+ years of work. She married the late Donald McEaneney on May 26^th, 1954, and spent 42 years together before Donald’s passing in September 1996.

Leah was a devoted Christian women with a strong love for God. She was a member of the First Free Methodist Church of Canfield. She had many passions, such as collecting snowmen, playing Yahtzee, playing in various bowling leagues throughout her life, enjoyed traveling and loved being surrounded by her family. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan “thru and thru” and was always up for fun. 

She leaves behind to remember her memory, her children, Rosemarie Brown and Pamela Bond. Her 4 grandchildren, Burt (Joy) Brown Jr., Amy Brown, Nicole (Jeremy) Blake, and Mackenzie (Dakota) Lowe. As well as 8 great grandchildren; Tommy, Cheyenne (Jesse), Hunter, MaKenna, Easton, Bryleigh, Emmett, and Zane, and many nieces and nephews. 

Leah was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her siblings; Elnora Johnson, Harold Thomas, Eulala Dixon, John Thomas, Robert Thomas, Wanda Conboy, and Donald Thomas and a son-in-law, James Bond Jr. 

The family would also like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Briarfield at Ashley Circle, as well as Crossroads Hospice, for the excellent care they extended to Leah in her time of need. 

Friends may call from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday February 17^th at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel with a service to follow at 11:00 am. Leah's final resting place will be at Four Mile Run Cemetery.
