LAKELAND, FL-There will be a funeral service held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 1PM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Leonard M. DeHoff, 81, formerly of Lake Milton, who passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 5:31PM at his home in Florida. Leonard was born October 23, 1926 in Austintown, the son of the late Herbert and Martha (Seifert) DeHoff Sr. Leonard retired in 1989 from Wean United where he was a Machinist Fitter for 36 years. Leonard was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany during World War II and was honorably discharged on December 22, 1946 with the Army of Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Leonard was a life member of the American Legion Lake Milton Post 737. Leonard was married on December 31, 1958 to the former Marjorie Hile and they were married for 45 years until her passing on October 29, 2003. Leonard is survived by three children Victoria Cummings of Lakeland, Fl; Rosemarie (George) Morrison of Lakeland, Fl; and Daniel (Gabriela) DeHoff of Mantua, OH; three sisters Marjorie DeHoff and Idabelle DeHoff both of Austintown and Cleo Simpson of Indianapolis, Indiana; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Leonard was preceded in death by his brother Herbert DeHoff Jr. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 6 until 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
