Lillian A. White, 98, of McDonald, passed away peacefully at her home, on March 15, 2017 at 8:10am, surrounded by her loved ones. Lillian was born on April 13, 1918, in Princeton, PA., a daughter of the late, Robert C. and Ester B. (Kennedy) White. She was a resident of the area from early childhood and graduated from Girard High School in 1936. Lillian married Stewart White on December 27, 1937 and they had five children. Their door was always open and the coffee always brewing. For many years, she was a cosmetologist and had her own beauty shop. She and Stewart were instrumental in organizing the first Retarded Children's Council in Trumbull County. This council laid the groundwork for Fairhaven School and Workshop. Lillian was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Girard, for over sixty years. She was the chairman of Dorcas Circle for over twenty-five years. Flower arranging, crafts, crosswords puzzles and growing houseplant were her favorite hobbies. She leaves behind two daughters; Carole Kompanik and Elaine Borecki, both of McDonald, two sons; Stewart (Marlene) White, of Boardman, and Michael (Michelle) White, of McDonald. Lillian also leaves grandchildren; Robert Kompanik Jr., Jill Watkins, Frank (Deb) Borecki, Tim Borecki, Ted (Shirley) Borecki, Matt (Molly) Borecki, Laura (Dave) Shimko, Rhonda (Tony) Biondillo, Stewart (Joanna) White, Michael White Jr., McCauley White, Megan (Dave) Giudici, her great grandchildren; Kevin Kompanik, Robert Kompanik III, Jessica (John) Moussa, Jamie (Cody) Thomas, Christopher( Sarah) Watkins, Ashley Shimko, Kristen Shimko, Sarah Borecki, Connor Borecki, Anthony Biondillo, Dante Biondillo, Nicolas Biondillo, Carmine White, Gemma White, Lucia White, Giuliana Giudici, Gabriella Giudici, and her great great grandchildren; Ross Kompanik, Maci Moussa, Milo Moussa, Zoey Watkins and Lilly Watkins Besides her parents, Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, and best friend the late Stewart White, who died on February 20, 2009 after 73 years of loving marriage. She is also preceded in death by a precious daughter Terry, and granddaughter, Mindy Mae White, brothers; Harold, Robert, Clare, Raymond, William, Donald, Jack and David, a sister, Dorothy Avry. Family and friends may call, Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 5pm to 7pm at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel, 1350 N. Canfield Niles, Rd. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:00 am, with calling hours one hour prior, at 1st Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Churchill Rd., Girard, OH., with Rev. Debra Dockstader officiating the service.
