Lillian Riley of Austintown died on November 19, 2024. Born May 6,1934 in Parker PA, the daughter of Russell and Myrtle (Goodman) Shay. She worked as an electrocardiography technician for 11 years at Youngstown Hospital Association before marrying John Riley (deceased) in 1963.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, significant other Dr. Dwight Gere Watkins, and brother William. She is survived by sisters Marie (James) Bernlohr, Erma (Harry) Barber, son John (Rebecca) Riley, daughter Maureen (David) Riley-Behringer and grandchildren John, Tatiana, Jack and James.
Lillian was a 21-year volunteer for MVI Hospice who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, singing with the Notables, walking with Silver Sneakers, playing ukulele with the Yukaholics, volunteering for the Rescue Mission, ushering with the Youngstown Playhouse, attending AARP functions, summer concerts in the park, and lunching with friends and neighbors.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 26th, from 4:00-6:00 PM, at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. A service will be held at 6:00 PM at the funeral home, followed by a private burial in Parker, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Adoration Hospice, Independence, Ohio in her memory.
