A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Berlin Center United Methodist Church for Linda K. Stevens, 61, of Berlin Center who passed away Monday morning at Hospice House. Linda was born November 25, 1953 in Salem, the daughter of the late Donald and Thelma (Martin) Hugli. She was a 1972 graduate of Jackson Milton High School and received her teaching degree from Kent State University. Linda worked as a special education teacher for the Western Reserve Berlin Center School System. She was a 40 year active member of the Berlin Center United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a former director of both the adult and junior choirs. She was a member of the Kent State Salem Branch Choir and the Deerfield Community Choir. Linda was also an active member of the crocheting group at the church and started a support group for cancer survivors. She leaves her loving husband Mark, whom she married December 17, 1977; two daughters, Christine Stevens of Akron and Casey Stevens of Canton; one brother Keith (Cathy) Hugli, of Lake Milton; as well as two brother-in-laws, Alan (Cheryl) Stevens of Lake Milton and Phillip (Sandi) Stevens of Patterson Creek, West Virginia. Family and friends may call from 5-8 PM on Friday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, and again Saturday from 10-11 AM at the Berlin Center United Methodist Church where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrot Road in Poland, or to the Berlin Center United Methodist Church Library, 15611 West Akron-Canfield Rd in Berlin Center.
