Lovie M. Hayslett

Howland – Lovie M. Hayslett, 95, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 1, 2024 at Hospice House in Poland. 

Lovie was born on March 3, 1928 in West VA, a daughter of the late James and Anna Vickers. 

She was a cook and worked with Am Vets and Tap Room – Skyway Tavern. She was a hard worker who worked into her 80’s. She also had a green thumb and took care of multiple gardens to grow her vegetables. She enjoyed going on walks and crocheting. 

Lovie will be deeply missed by her sons, James (Becky) Hayslett and Marvel (Judy) Hayslett Jr.; grandchildren, Michael Hayslett, Mont Hayslett, Thomas Richards, Jamie Vickers, Tim Hayslett, Chad Hayslett, Rodney Hayslett, and Dawn Hill; and many great-grandchildren. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvel Hayslett Sr.; daughter, Daisey Mae Hayslett; and siblings, Harold, Orval, Cecil, William, James Jr., Fred, Raleigh, Benjamin, Vickers, Juanita, and Wanda. 

Family and friends may visit from 10-12:00PM on Wednesday February 7, 2024 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Roberts-Clark Chapel located at 180 Garfield Dr. NE in Warren. Funeral services will follow at 12:00PM at the funeral home. 

Burial will take place at Champion Township Cemetery.
